Crystal Quinone began operations in 1983 with the founding efforts of Mr. Anang Shah, who initially set up Monochem Industries, India in 1977, manufacturing Sodium Meta Bisulphite & Sulphite. Crystal Quinone originally established for the production of Hydroquinone, in the early 90’s, the plant was converted to produce the complete range of Vinyl Sulphones, in 1995. Eventually, specialized derivatives of Hydroquinone, Pyrazolones and Anthranilic were added to the list fully utilizing the existing three functional units. Since its conception in 1983, the company has grown multifold to its current annual turnover of over US $15 million. Herein, 80% of the revenue generation is credited to exports made to over 20 countries worldwide.
Emphasizing on the axiom of quality driven enterprising, the company has made aggressive efforts towards the development of niche products like specialty organic intermediates for and pigments along with certain inorganic chemicals.
